Lis'
Hi guys, I've just ventured into the world of gourami breeding and am looking at options for growing on my month old dwarf's. Was considering putting them in some larger tanks with breeding bristlenose but wasn't sure if this would be a safe move. Any advice greatly appreciated!! Also what about compatability with cory's? Caryl
Since the fishes you mention inhabit a totally different area of the tank I can't see a problem but I have not had baby dwarf gouramis so am not speaking from experience. Billaney
Hi I have my baby honey G's in with baby bristlenose at the moment and they seem to get along just fine , as Caryl said they play at differant ends of the paddock
Davejey
Hi Lis' Dwarf Gourami are quite compatible with most fish except maybe with each other. I have a dozen two-month olds who are just starting to show their 'muscles' and I have had to move the largest one, due to bullying, in with my Platies (of the same age) and he/she seems to be quite happy amongst them. regards Davejey
Lis'
Thanks to all for the helpful advice. I have now moved all of my larger babies (approx 30) in with a tank containing platy's (about 5 adults with lots of babies) and some young bristlenose. Everyone seems happy in there so fingers crossed they will keep growing on at the same rapid rate they have been to date. Will work out where to put the little ones when they a get a big bigger. Davejey - from the sound of the one large fish you had to move on you have one just like me. We named him Baby Huey from very early in the piece as he is massive compared to the rest of the gang - quite bizarre really but novel to watch attacking the spoon full of BBS when I feed them!!
