pearlyred
Hi folks, I need to get some sort of b/n or something for my new cichlid tank, to keep the algae down. Other than the standard b/n are there any other algae eaters that would be suitable with dwarf cichlids? I'd quite like a golden black eye b/n but i think they need cooler water right? regards LS
HummingBird
Golden Black Eyed B/N are just normal tropicals. Or at least I hope they are - I keep mine at about 23.5c, getting up to 26 in the day (tank's in the sun) and they've spawned twice already You might want to also consider getting some Otocinclus ("Oto's") or some kind of plecostomus (though some plecos eat less algae with age)
