MRSkz
This ^^^ is the betta I was told, by the LFS, that was just fat when I took him in for an exam. I have been concerned about him lieing on the bottom of the tank, fin's clamped slightly and lathargic for a few days now. I've had it in isolation for a coulpe days now treating him with the blue drops. he seem's to have started perking up some but I want to know is he just FAT or is there something wrong with him? I would have thought that if he was just "fat" it would be in his belly not his chest reagion.
Caper
Sorry MRSkz...I don't know about Betta's. There was a post here that has a website about betta's I don't if there is any info there, I'll see if I can find it. He doesn't have any scales protuding does he? Any signs of injury? So, those with more experience can help give some more info: water parameters? tankmates? feeding? tank size?, etc. Wish I could help
HummingBird
Does he sit around all of the time or just some of the time? I had a fighter similar looking to yours that was quite old and he sat around a bit but was perfectly healthy. Could just be that he's old, keep an eye on him for more symptoms though. pearlyred
We had one like this too. Eventually he got some sort of fungus growing from his mouth, kinda like cotton-mouth, though this looked more like it was growing from INSIDE of him, not his lips. He died too...
