jetskisteve
Works great, Ideal for those without a Calc reactor.
reef
Would not think that it is a good idea to have iodine and calcium combined. As you will use more calcium in a reef tank and if you have to keep adding the supplement you could overdo the iodine so it will fuel algae growth. Bruce
hi guys has anyone used redsea calcium+3 suppliment in there tank?if so what were the results? It contains calcium, strontium, molybdeum and iodine. It seems to be a new product. thanx Its been around for quite a while You can also get the redsea calcium suppliment without additional trace elements Also available are trace elements seperately Molybdenum Iodine Strontium Your LFS should be able to supply it /Bruce
cracker
Personally i prefer to add calcium,Mag and KH seperately, and add trace elements individually. I use a bottle of general trace along with the above and that is all. Some of these premixed products will easily over feed certain elements that arent required and you cant prevent it. In other words you do not have COMPLETE control. REEF, wheres my reef supplements!!
Aquatopia
Would not think that it is a good idea to have iodine and calcium combined. As you will use more calcium in a reef tank and if you have to keep adding the supplement you could overdo the iodine so it will fuel algae growth. Would the manufacturers not have worked out the correct formula so that everyything was in proportion though ?
TM
Yeah they would, but every tank is different, different tank, different needs.
Aquatopia
Yeah - i sort of thought that even as i was writing the question. And after i had posted it i was thinking to myself that it would be better to dose separately for greater control. Who knows - i may even get a tank big enough to need to worry about such things sometime too lol.
