Angus
Just to save me trolling around, can you experts tell me if 5300k is suitable for aquarium plant growth? A single memory cell fires and says ~6000k is daylight temperature and is ideal??
DiverJohn
6500 K is ideal I run a mixture of Osram Biolux with a High quality colour + Osram Daylight White which is not quite as high quality light but the correct colour. My plants go well. I am in Aucks so can help you out if you want. I have a good source
Angus
Hey DiverJohn I went to Lamp Specialists in Mt Smart, looking at compact fluorescents. The guy directed me to the Phillips 55W, which i found out is 5300k - hence the inquiry. Can you tell me a bit about the Osrams? Are they compact fluoros? That good source sounds promising.....
