Gretal
I've noticed that since I put the heater and new air pump in my octagonal tank, the water level has gone down over the past week or so. Is this normal? Also, even with the water level not as high as I'd like, the air pump spits water up through the hole in the top of the tank and it leaves drips on the light and makes the inside of the hood go mouldy. I'm guessing I should put a piece of glass over the hole?
jude
That sounds like a sensible solution - I don't think drips on the light sounds very safe Cheers Jude
Caper
Hi Gretal! There is a certain amount of evaporation that takes place. You don't see an water around the outside of you tank do you that would indicate a possible leak? So unless, it is gone done an excessive amount...those with more knowledge can correct me...but I wouldn't worry.
