Same elements anyway. the oxygen atom is the difference between a harmless salt, and an effective bleach. You don't want to be adding hypochlorite to your tank. cracker Posted July 23, 2005 Author Report Share Posted July 23, 2005 One other thing. I do a 40-45% water change every month, which will prevent chloride build up over time. If using this system, it would be advisable to do big water changes. Most people who would be using this system would normally have smaller tanks anyway, (Or aReactor would generally be in place).
