jude
The planting in the community tank is going to look great once it grows and I love the natural arrangements of the rocks in the African tank. Any plans to use rocks to hide the turtle ramp and perhaps turn it into a big cave? Cheers Jude
Bluetom
yeah just thinking the best way to do because don'y want anything to fall off it onto my wee little fishes!
deeveus
Very nice indeed. I miss keeping neons but my bala shark was eating them, or atleast thats where I thought they were going. Bala shark was fine for about 6 months, then they disappeared one by one, after replacing the neons a couple of times, I gave up. Nice tanks mate, like the landscaping in the african tank. Thumbs up. HummingBird
Convicts aren't african nice tanks though. Deeveus, you could try replacing your neons with Cardinals. They're bigger so they're less likely to be eaten (more colourful too).
Bluetom
yeah i know convicts aren't africans however with 13 africans and 5 convicts i think africans win out over the convicts. They can be honourary africans. I thought maybe some thin shist would be the way to go to make the cave, might head out to Stone And water world again soon so i'll have a look when i'm there. Thanks for all your comments
jude
Maybe look at slate as well. Schist can't be siliconed together - well it cn but its a dusty rock and the silicone doesn't hold for long. I believe slate can be stuck together quite well although I haven't tried it yet Cheers Jude
Bluetom
i hadn't even really thought of siliconing, I think i wil leave it for a bit because tank has only been going fo r less than a month so will wait a bit i think. Your suggestions are great thanks heaps.

Caryl
Looking good bluetom but I would be moving that plant that is in the front middle as it will grow too big and block the view of the rest of the tank. A free swimming space in front gives more depth to a tank.
Bluetom
it's just a fresh cutting so i put it in the light, once it grows a bit more i will more it to the back Thanks for the advice That plant is now the third generation cutting ( if thats what you call it) that type of plant grows really well in my tank, now have 5 different plants from the one original i brought.
