beachy
Hey all i recently made a new drip plate for my trickle filter, works so much better than the slates of glass it had before. Heres how 4.5mm perspex Hole size of 3/16" Holes separated by 3/4 inch spaces, Holes tapered at the top of the place. No holes within 1 inch of all filter sides, to reduce channeling. Hole size may vary depending on flow rate, but i find that it handles 2500ltrs ok I also cut some airline down the centre, and put it around the edge of the perspex, to act as a seal. Now the water is spread evenly over all of my media. Thought i would share with all, ive found it works really well
