deeveus
Hey again. I've got at the moment a 2000litre/perhour powerhead and another 500litre/perhour power head in my 130litre tank. The 500 is running one of those tubes with holes in them while the 2000 is running a hose directed over my rocks to keep them clean. And again I have the trickle filter outlet returning about 550litres/perhour. What I was wanting to know is, is this too much?

Brianemone
yes you can have too much current, it depends on what type of water movement your talking about as well, your powerheads that you have are creating a huge amount of flow in one central stream but then the rest is lacking so yes in a way you have too much flow in those specific areas but you probably have deadspots too. the trick is creating a wave like effect that is random and has a more washing effect
