DG
hi everyone , we (my sister and myself) have 6 tanks between us which we have set up over the last year. I have a 4ft malawi tank, 3ft community and a newly set up 2ft malawi for babies, my sister has a breeding b/nose tank, 2.5ft community and until a few days ago when disaster struck a huge 4ft tank with oscar, arowana, b/leporanis,ladderback eel etc, having water tested this morning, water is really cloudy and fish started were droping dead, whats left are all in other tanks, donna & shelley
Caryl
Hi DG and welcome to the fishroom. Hope you get the 4ft problem sorted quickly - it sounds like a water problem. How long has it been set up and the inhabitants added? What filtration does it have? The water tests should give you an idea of what has gone wrong. DG
hi, the set up had been running for close to a year, the only change was from a 4ft x 1ft x 1ft to a 4ft x1.5ft x 2ft with a eheim filter 1200l about 6 months ago and no new fish in the last couple of months, tests showed normal ph, nitrate a little high (understandable because of dead fish) and nitrite through the roof, the fish have have not been overfed which i thought was the usual cause for this happening :-?
