jude
What vegetables can be fed to fish - especially bristlenoses, apart from zuchhini, cucumber and peas? Do they eat pumpkin? celery? any other suggestions? Cheers Jude
Caryl
Try everythng and see what happens. I know mine have enjoyed carrot in the past, as well as peas, cucumber and lettuce. I wonder if pumpkin would foul the water quite quickly.
Snowman
B/Nose do like the Pumpkin but it does foul the water quickly and breaks up easily, its seems to come off in clumps of fibres that are wonderful for blocking your filter.
jude
errkkkk, would be enough to put you off pumpkin for life - think I will try a carrot Cheers Jude
CatBrat
Yup, I feed my plec's just about anything. Yams are supposed to be a favorite, but mine didn't seem to like it much (I will have to try it again). Also try potato, kumara, pumpkin, carrots, lettuce, apple, corn on the cob and try other stuff too (as long as it's mushy). I tend not the cook the vegies as they seem to break down a lot faster in the water, and therefore foul it up faster. As for the pumpkin, I have never had any troubles with it, and it seems to last for 3-4 days in the water, but as I said I don't cook it. Cheers, CatBrat.
