Fruju
Hey guys, was wondering if anyone else bought these guys when they came in a few years back and still has them? I found them to be very slow growing but with a nice yellow colour. Will post a pic in the next day or too. Also did anyone else pick up the nice delhezi's and longfin senegals brought in by Aquaworld a little while back?
Silverdollarboy2
Did you get any pictures? I wish my tank could house bichirs. Tony Lucas
Silverdollarboy2
@Fruju What size tank do they need? Do they need to be in groups or can they be by themselves? Tony Lucas
Fruju
Which species? Doubt you'd find P. palmas palmas, but they along with delhezi and senegal would do best in at least 300L. Tall tanks aren't ideal, they prefer long and wide footprints. Some people keep them in less but I find they make use of a larger volume. Fruju
And yes, can be kept in groups easily.
Silverdollarboy2
I think they look really interesting, how big are your palmas? If I did get a bichir I'd most likely get a del.
Fruju
The species I have is palmas buttekoferi I believe, I'm not sure palmas palmas is still a valid species. Mine is between 25-30cm. Delhezi's are my favourite, especially the ones with quality stripes. Silverdollarboy2
