Looking for importer/wholesaler

Hi All, We are looking for a an importer or at least a wholesaler of african cichlids that we can get in touch with and start talking about getting some different kinds of Africans, Is there anyone out there who can help?

Before you even attempt to go there have you looked at 'The List'?  It is the top stickie in this Freshwater section.  The reason I ask is that if the species that you want is not on the list of allowed imports then there is no point you going further.

There are three main importers in NZ and they are the major wholesale suppliers to the shops.  There are a few private importers who mostly import to their own requirements or the requirements of businesses that they personally own.  Most are not on these forums.

Not trying to sound negative here but unless you are talking hundreds of a particular species then the costs are huge and at the end of the day the market needs to be out there.  Previous times, and even right now, importers have bought in species of fish, at request, to find out that no one will pay the end price after importing, quarantining costs and all extras are taken in to consideration.
