calculator
Yup, some of the delhezi they have there have really nice markings. But they did not get in nearly enough palmas's.
Fruju
Nice Palmas Polli! Haven't seen those in a while. But damn, those markings on the Delhezi are great! Usually they don't have such distinct stripes.

They had several more with simmilarly nice markings, is worth going in to pick the fish out specially as there were several more really nice ones there. Now I just got to hope the markings stay stable as it grows.

Fruju
Oh yeah? Might be worth taking a visit then! Delhezi is by far my favourite species that comes in.

Fruju
Decided to get back on the wagon...got 2 new dels, 2 standard sens and 1 longfin sen. Considering grabbing more dels too... I missed keeping polys.
snookie
I think the colour of substrate effects colour and pattern of polys
calculator
I think the colour of substrate effects colour and pattern of polys It very much can do, at the moment there grow out tank theme is black, black, with some more black on the side, but genetics also make a difference, and the fish I have bought with nicer colours to begin with have ended up with nicer colours in the end. alexyay
Saw the delz yesterday - they really do have nice markings! (from someone who knows nothing about polys)
calculator
Been a while since I have had baby poly's, I had forgotten how much they like hanging in the plants at the surface, it is so cute.
Fruju
I was surprised to see a longfin senegal come in, I don't think they have been in before? All of mine pretty much ate on the first day of getting them, hoping to get some good growth out of them. What price did the polli come in as? calculator
Yea this is the first long fin send, they haven't been around internatinoally for that long though. What are yours eating? They were $85 each, cheaper then the other one I got from HFF years ago at $130.
David R
I think the colour of substrate effects colour and pattern of polys it certainly does effect the colour, but I'm not sure about the markings? I know the wild caught dels often have better markings (more solid black bands, rather than the mottled look of captive bred), but what ever they are these ones are great! Fruju
Yeah it is a fairly new 'morph'. Personally I like the look of them, not too silly looking like balloon shapes. That is a good price. Difference is that yours are Palmas Polli, the ones that came in a few years back were Palmas palmas/buttekoferi i think. Currently they are on a sinking marine pellet food I had left over, figured it is just as good high protein food.

The old one I have am almost certain is a palmas palmas, not sure what the new ones I have got are yet, are to small to really tell what they are.
