Caryl
I love the acaras. I used to have them when we first started keeping fish over 25 years ago. The ones I see today are pale and uninteresting compared to the ones I had all those years ago - they looked just like yours conaquavict
Travis & Vicki
are they the same as a texas cichlid?
Conaquavict
are they the same as a texas cichlid? No but people sometimes mix them up. especially when they are young.

Loopy
WOW what a beautiful picture! i have 4 babies at the moment, the biggest one is only half an inch long! i have never really been bothered looking at a picture to see what my babies will look like when they are bigger. i was given them from some friends who were given a whole heap, so i didn't see the parents, in fact i had never seen one before. I am VERY impressed.
