stillnzcookie
Thanks - that was an interesting read. I suspect I have done what a number of fish keepers do, which is to start off by wanting a community tank full of lots of different fish, then to gradually reduce the variety but increase the number of each type of fish. For me, it was triggered by our panda cories breeding, and seeing the vastly different behaviour between a group of six fish and a group of 20. My dream tank is now a large tank with largish (20-80) shoals of small fish. Another thing that I have found is that, when I started fish keeping, I researched carefully which fish would suit our tank, but then made my choices based on the appearance of the fish - it never crossed my mind that different fish have such different behaviour, and that some of the less colourful fish have actually been the ones that I spend all my time watching!
