junglejim
Hi guys, do the rocks look like they have a normal amount of algae in my awuarium as per attached photo? Seems excessive to me. These rocks used to be bright white!
Totara
Looks normal to me, if you've just come out of a cycle you'll have an algae phase until you get everything perfectly in balance, which takes time. How big is that tank There is a lot of fish in there who like room to swim...
kinnadian
He's got a 190L tank, so presumably only 3.5 - 4 foot. Bannerfish and foxface lo need at least a 6 foot tank, I hope you have plans on upgrading soon junglejim... My tank is 4 foot and 240L and I certainly wouldn't put those fish in my tank because it's cruel. On topic, algae looks a bit more than normal because you've got a massive bioload and not a lot of live rock at all. I would have put 1 fish in per month while the system stabilizes, but I like to take my time with these things.

91 ZERO
I didn't think coral rock stayed white? That amount of algae looks normal to me.
Adrienne
Looks fairly normal to me - my 250 litre tank is 13 weeks now (rock cycled prior to adding though) - see pic. Perhaps you have a little more of the brownish stuff than I have had. What are your tank readings? What do you have for CUC?
