TbarTerror
I'm looking at setting up a 90litre hexagonal tank planted with an angel fish and some ottocinclus cats. Can anyone tell me what is the best filter to use with this type of set up?
Godly3vil
A 90ltr hex tank is not suitable for an angel, also they should be kept in groups of 5-6 unless you're breeding them.
TbarTerror
I thought Angels schooled only when they are young until they paired off.I know there is one type that form close family groups and the other pair for life. I'm not looking to breed. I thought one on its own would be fine. I have a 120 litre standard tank but I don't think its tall enough. Can i ask why i cant keep one on its own? Godly3vil
They are a schooling fish by nature so do better in groups just like most cichlids, nothing to do with age. They like a lot of swimming room so that is why a small hex tank isn't suitable.
TbarTerror
Thanks for your reply awhile back I decided against the hex tank and passed the angel on to a friend who had a better setup for it.
