caroldaisy3
I have patches of brown algae on the glass of my aquarium which comes a few days after i have done a water change. How can I avoid this? :env:

Adrienne
If you can, test your nitrate and phosphate levels and give the substrate a really good vacuum (not going to work very well if the tank is heavily planted). The algae uses silicates to grow so another option would be to use a phosphate remover in your filter media. Or depending on what fish you have you could get some otocinclus as they love the stuff
