plecs
hi all I know someone who is wanting to put a concrete rock formation in their tank, i know this has been discussed somewhere on this forum, but cant find it (admits to not looking very hard) Do you have to coat the concrete in something to make it safe for the fish? does it have to be a certain type? and advice or comments welcome! Thanks plecs
Ira
Only thing you really need to do is rinse it really well. Maybe soak it in a mild acid like vinegar or similar for a week or so once it's set for a while.

plecs
thanks critter guy! that was what i was looking for. would soaking it in vinegar help with speed up the process of making it fish friendly? Obviously if it makes the PH go really high that is a bad thing. anyone got any suggestions? thanks plecs
