Can anyone else tell me if its any good? I could add another one if I am not getting good coral growth... Will Looks like it only covers about 2'X2', I don't think you've said the dimensions of your tank, but I'd assume it's a 4 foot, so you'd need two. Totara
My tank dimensions are 92 cm, by 40 cm, by 40 cm. So its 3 foot. Do you still think I should get two? I thought I will get one, if coral growth is poor I will add another.

There simply won't be any light at the ends of the tank, you will end up with dark areas at the ends. You can raise the unit to give a better spread, at the expense of PAR for corals. If you do decide to start with one, make sure your hanging arrangement will allow for another. My friends tank is about the same dimensions and two is perfect. That would cost about 300 and aquaworld sell them Kinda like this except with shorter goosenecks http://s1159.photobucket.com/user/matt2 ... 7.jpg.html
Totara
Oh wow, they are amazing! I am pretty sure I will go with these! They are cost effective, simple to install, and look beautiful. I have a few questions though, which bulbs will I need? These http://www.aquaworld.co.nz/estore/style/par38.aspx Or these http://www.aquaworld.co.nz/estore/style/par38-whiteblue.aspx Also, so I can fit these in a hood I am inclined to wire up my own fixture. Will these be OK? http://www.ebay.com/itm/5X-E27-Screw-Base-Round-Plastic-Light-Bulb-Lamp-Socket-Holder-Adapter-White-/290993291206?pt=US_Lighting_Parts_and_Accessories&hash=item43c08d3fc6 And how high up do I mount the bulbs so I get my 12" by 12" spread? Totara
Hi guys, Quick question about dry rock, am I getting a good deal with $380 for a 25 KG Sack? That is from Living Reef, the thing is HFF sells it at $300 but I would need to ship it. Regards, Will
Morcs
Depends, I like to hand pick my pieces to get the shapes I want. Usually about 13 bucks per kilo at hff

It lights up my 60L tank (2' x 1' x 1') fairly well but I think you would need at least 2 for a 200L tank. It would look good with 3 of these, though. Oh wow, they are amazing! Regards, Will These are kind of bulbs are too spotlighty for my tastes, I personally wouldn't be 100% happy with it to be honest. Rock is typically $12-$15 each. Once you factor in shipping I don't think HFF will be much cheaper.

From what I understand, if you position them well, and get bulbs with the correct angle and put in dimmers, you can get them looking really good quite easily. Also can someone recommend to me the best place to get dry rock? Preferably somewhere in Christchurch or Nelson. Regards, Will
