Aqua
oh man, how cool are these? I've seen them in the LFS for ages, but never really thought much of them... Went to Hollywood's over the weekend, and decided I'd get some Khulie's instead of Cory's, and I'm not regretting it! These little guys have got some real character, and even my boyfriend has taken a shine to them! Who else has these guys, and what do you think of them??
plecs
they are pretty cool arent they!! Only thing is they like to hide a lot! They are much better when you have good numbers of them. How many did you get? Plecs
HummingBird
I've got 5 normal sized Khulis and 2 giants, they are quite neat when they deign to come out of their hiding places. I've also got a Cinnamon loach, which is physically quite similar to khulis except it's a deep red. They're all pretty neat.
Aqua
I've got 4 of them.. (4 for $20!) I'm planning on getting some more, 'cause I think they're just awesome! One question: Do they eat snails? Some of my friends bought some Striatia Loaches the same day, and they were munching down on snails seconds after being released into the tank! Although I guess my khulies are probably too small to eat the snails in my tank...

Travis & Vicki
ive got a couple of kulie loaches in the community tank, when i first got them travis hit the roof "what the *#*+ are you doing bringing snakes into the house", being an auzzie he has a thing about snakes, now they are his favorite, they seem to play all the time and must be quite secure in the tank as they are usally out a lot during the day. they seem to be quite hardy as they have suvived most of my ignorant errors in keeping fish, including a 5 hour streach on the footpath in the sun after taking the log out of the tank while i changed the gravel, and 2 weeks in a bucket of cold water while the tank was treated with stuff to kill a disease. good luck with your kulies am sure you will get hours of enjoyment from them
HummingBird
I'll try to get some pics of the cinnamon loach tonight. I had the camera out last night but he didn't want to make an appearance.
Aqua
Isn't that typical?? I have the camera sitting in the lounge now, just in case there's an opportunity for a pic, 'cause the fish never stay still long enough for me to run to the other side of the house to hunt for the camera! Gotta love digital camera's though.. Thousands of photos == maybe 3 worthy of showing to other people
Aqua
Hope this works!! Isn't he/she/it CUTE?!?!?!?!?! 8) Just please tell me the white spots on it's tail aren't White Spot!! One of the other loaches has just one spot, and it's right dead center on the tail, so I'm guessing (HOPING) that it's a genetic marker.... Caryl
Now wasn't that worth the thousands you deleted? Lovely white spots there
