TmanNZ Posted January 4, 2014 Author Report Share Posted January 4, 2014 it's taken up 3 hides that it keeps rotating around, there's a cave under a rock, in a small flowerpot and on top of a rock under a piece of driftwood, then there's a teeny cave where it stashes it's food... TmanNZ Posted January 6, 2014 Author Report Share Posted January 6, 2014 Sorry, Had a bit of a scary moment last night, He escaped and I found him 20 or so meters from the tank under computer desk. He is alright and is active in the tank again. Just gonna let him settle back in. Currently got a new cupboard door thing as a hood before I cut a piece of glass or make a mesh hood. I use a mesh lid for my native tank as it allows more air to get to the water and helps control temperature, while preventing the escape attempts. There were nights where I would see the Koura on top of the driftwood searching for weak spots in the lid. hope yours is going well after the escape.
