samuel90
Damn these are tricky bastards to sex! I have 19 of them. 2 of them are female for sure as they have next to no black on them at all, and they both have held. As for the other 17... is it possible for a female to still have the black markings like a male? I have google and googled to no concrete advice - does anyone have experience that can help? Thanks! Scarletmonuka
as far as I know males have more black on the anal fin and the fin running along there back. dominant male can have a dirty looking face as well. all proper electric yellows should have fully yellow bodies should they not? ryanjury
Pull em out and vent them. +1 it is the only way to know, things like black on the fin, size etc are just indications I have seen fish with jet black markings on fins that I would have sworn were males holding..
