brendo Posted December 13, 2013 Report Share Posted December 13, 2013 Hi new to cichlids i currently have a 126 litre tank(90 38 38 less glass) i @m running an eheim internal 5010 rated @ 500l/h I currently have 5 yellow labs about 6cm and 4 blue peacocks The questions i have are 1 if increase filter out put can i add more stock that is compatable 2 if i do need a bigger tank for current stock how long untill i need to upgrade Thanks for the help in advance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think 126L is pretty small and would be wanting to upgrade now. i thought that would be the case hoping to pick up a cheap 250 ltr aftet xmas but the 126 has got to new better than the 60ltr the guy i got them off sold me them in! ryanjury Posted December 13, 2013 Report Share Posted December 13, 2013 Your tank is too small for your current fish however they should be ok in there for a while, especially with all that rock work they should have plenty of places to hide and yellows/peacocks aren't extremely aggressive. brendo Posted January 6, 2014 Author Report Share Posted January 6, 2014 hi guys and thanks for the help.. well i got to upgrade my tank a bit sooner than expected as the 126ltr started to leak (less than 3 weeks after my other tank) so my cichlids are now housed in a sunsun 200 ltr 125 l 45 h 41 deep and i am now looking for stocking help on that. any help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
