shell
Hey has anyone tried the Redfield N:P ratio in their nutrient dosing in a planted tank? Seems easier to follow than the EI method for a math allergic person! http://buddendo.home.xs4all.nl/aquarium/redfield_eng.htm
peet
I tried it. Setup a massive spreadsheet with weekly testing.... Did nothing to my algae. I have yet to hear about any widespread success with redfield ratio. To much testing. EI is dead easy. I never test except co2. i joined the barr report and followed their advice. Used regular excel doses and api algaecide and mine has cleared up nicely. BTW I EI dose.
SamH
I dosed a mix of NO3 and K2HPO4 Mon, Wed, Fri with aquatic trace Tue, Thur, Sat and water change Sun. Seems like a similar deal minus the weekly W/C and trace. What's the issue with EI again?
