nzfishkeeper
UPDATE- :happy2: :happy1: :happy2: I filled the tank yesterday and it is holding the water great. Hopefully I will be able set up the tank over the next few weeks. (My DIY stand also held great :happy2: . Now I just need to build myself a light hood.) Thanks everyone for their advice. I wonder if there's a good way to test it beyond "It's holding water"? Splash the water around as much as possible to try and increase the loading on the glass and seams? Throw a cat in maybe? I have rocked the tank back and forth making waves and increasing the force and the tank still holds. I am confident it will hold especially as I have contacted a few glaziers who have said laminated glass is no weaker then normal float glass.
