twinkles
All growing in submersed in the boggy parts next to the river, up to 50cm deep. Is the ferny-leaved thing in the background here milfoil? And what's the leafy middle one? This one has wider leaves than it looks in pic, and some are reddish underneath.. supasi
Photo one is http://www.fnzas.org.nz/?p=906 Photo two is definitely a Myriophyllum species Not sure what the green one is in middle, Most likely a terrestrial weed that has mad home there. The third is hard to tell. At first guess I would suggest maybe a form of Ludwigia but it doesn't really look like that. Do you have any closer images of this plant? twinkles
Thanks, spot on for the first one I would have thought the same about the second middle one, but it's in the middle of the pondy bits that haven't been dry all year and growing well, just took a photo of the ones nearest the edge amongst the grass. I'll keep an eye out for more in water or on land. I picked up a few clumps of plants which were floating downstream after the rain the other day, and there's some of that ludwigia type stuff there, so i'll put some pics up of it in a tank shortly.
