recycled oldy
Good morning all, opinions please, AR980's come with carbon filters which I have left in my live planted community tank. However, I have since read in various publications, (JBL booklet for one) that carbon should not be used in a planted set up as it removes elements necessary to the plants. On the other hand carbon is claimed to provide the crystal clear look. What is the expert opinion and is there an alternative filter insert which will provide clarity without starving plants? alanmin4304
Charcoal and bbq go well in the same sentence.
Cricketman
Micron socks, frequently changed filter wool will also help. DO NOT bother with the potions that claim to "create" clarity...
