Bellshill Belgians
HI All, What brands of water pump do people use for returning water to the tank from a sump. I am looking at around 2000L or 2500L per hour. I have resun king pumps on my outdoor ponds and have found them pretty good running for 2 years 24/7 without any failures but wonder if there is anything anyone has found better. Thanks Jo

Thanks Jo I've used Lagunas. Used a PJ2000 on my marine tank and then upgraded to a 5000. (I think those are the right models) Never had any problems with them. David R
+1 for Laguna. Would probably use Eheim on a smaller set up like the one I'm planning, didn't go with them for the big tank as I wanted one large single pump (Laguna 7500) and Eheim didn't make one that grunty. Faithbleed
Whats the best way to figure out how big a return pump you'll need?
Ira
Whats the best way to figure out how big a return pump you'll need? Decide how much flow you want and your head then look at the flow vs head chart.
