HummingBird
My remaining clown loach, who just recovered from white spot, has now got some White/clearish stringlike things attached to his fins, the longest is about 5mm but most are smaller. Does anyone have any idea what the heck these are and what I can do to kill them?
HummingBird
I've been recommended by a guy at my LFS (he didn't work there, he was another customer) to dab some iodine solution (at first he just said iodine and I was like ) on the little guy and this will kill whatever it is. Should this be ok?
Caryl
I know little about diseases in fish but I do know that when they are sick they can form extra slime for protection. Is it possible it is just the extra slime sloughing off? You have to be careful what you put on clown loaches cos they don't have scales like most fish. I am also at work so don't have access to my disease book.
Snowman
I remember reading something about Anchor worms in a fish disease book from the library , cant remember specifics but could try a google search to get more info , hope this helps
HummingBird
They don't have red spots at the tip of them like anchor worms would so I don't think they're that. You may be on to something though Caryl, I'll have to look into that further.
