emaytiti
Hey guys, I have a problem, I noticed my waxworm cultures are crawling in ants.... Are they going to kill off all the waxworms or eat the eggs? How can I get rid of them? At the moment they are in their jars in a container with water on the bottom? Jason22
Im no expert but the ants will be killing the larvae/eggs. there must be a way the ants are getting in. e.g a bridge over the water, pretty shore ants don't swim. A bead of Vaseline might around the out side might work as well.

#!CrunchBang
The ants produce formic acid which can actually kill a lizard. We were given a gecko that had been feed ants over the night before we got it, it died the next day.
