knightmarc
I'm wanting to get a leopard gecko some time soon so are about to start setting up a tank for him/her. Currently have two options a 28litre aquaone splish splash tank or a plastic bin (floor area in bin is about 1 and 1/2 that of the tank) will probably be getting a young one so either should be ok for them to start off in, what I'm unsure about is best way to use the heat pad or heat tape with a plastic bottom tank. I've had a bearded dragon for 2+ year now but he doesn't need a heat pad so have had know experience with them, would they get hot enough to melt the plastic? If ok I'm thinking of using tiles so should I place the pad under the plastic bottom or in the tank under the tile?ing Will be buying one to experiment with on the weekend, any recommendations or ones to avoid. alanmin4304
You don't have to have a heat pad, a ceramic heat emitter works OK.
