UGH more car trouble

Recommended Posts

Do the headlights dim a little when it's idling? It could be the alternator (a little generator basically - it charges the battery and supplies current to the car) needs looking at. If it isn't putting out enough current, it shortens battery life a lot. Auto electricians are notoriously expensive though, sorry

You name it it's probably been replaced. I know the alternator has been replaced. I think that was the problem the last time it broke down when hubby went to Mitre 10 and got stuck there :an!gry

As for the headlights I wouldn't have a clue as I don't drive. Don't have a license. My hubby is the only one that could tell you.

My 1992 honda integra thats done 285000k's needs so much done to it, its not even funny

Yup there comes a time when enough is enough ya know. It's not worth spending $1-2K a year on a car that is only insured for $4700 and when we sell it we probably won't even get $1k for it.... it is 17 years old. :sage:
