spidey666 Posted July 3, 2011 Report Share Posted July 3, 2011 hi guys in my guppy tank i have had afew deaths after i had done water change removed most of the plants,i first thourght it was because i did a 50% water change and the temp droped abit,but the next day 2 more were dead and some of my females lost colour in there tails and looked paralyzed so i looked on google images and they have saddleback columnaris is there any treatment for this? im abit gutted as i was going to give all of them away for free on here this weekend :facepalm: because i was gonna use the tank for my kribbs. so if anyone know a cure could ya let me know plz thanks. the-obstacle Posted July 3, 2011 Report Share Posted July 3, 2011 I cured mine with melafix and salt. Table spon of salt added to the tank every day for 4 days. Follow the Melafix instructions at the same time. The salt helps free up their gut which is causing the paralysed look and also helps with the infection in the base of the dorsal fin.
