livingart Posted June 24, 2011 Report Share Posted June 24, 2011 Got a rock pool under way pretty basic construction base and sides 15mm ply, marine grade used a full sheet for base, with a cut out to give it a little more shape than a rectangle glued and screwed together couldn't afford f/glass so 3 layers of .4mm polythene over 2.4 M x 1,6 M x 400mm deep left side is a 3 foot viewing tank wet dry sump and DSB below made a polystyrene background for it sorry blurry pic of it some of the pieces waiting for their new home rock pool inhabitants 3 species of hermit crab, orange hermit crab Diacanthurus spinulimanus, NZ hermit crab (Pagurus novizelandiae), plankton hermit (Paguristes setosus) bighand crab (Heterozius rotundifrons), black marbled crab (Hemigrapsus edwardsii) triangle crab (Eurynolambrus australis), bristle crab (Pilumnus novaezelandiae) sorry i give up on classifying them all cushion starfish, ambush starfish, oar starfish, zebra brittle stars, reef star, snake star 5 types of sponge sea cucumber, 5 kina, 1/2 shell slug 6 types of snails weed fish, leatherjackets, 4 species of triplefin, young parore, nz black angel jewel anemone seahorses Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
