henward
my red is hesitant on live locusts. i have never encountered this. it will attack shrimp, fd shrimp, goldfish and mealworms so far. but locusts, it is hesitant. anyone encountered this from an arowana before? really weird, its almost like it has to be very hungry to take the locusts, while in the past, the aros will eat locusts as a desert food lol they are full but will still take locusts. ally07
Could just be a preference I guess? My green doesn't really like crickets that much, even though most of what I've read has advised that crickets are HIGHLY ADDICTIVE to aros. Not for mine lol.. henward
ahh i figured out when i leave the arowanas sight, it eats the locust i believe it thinks im gonna give it other types of food and gets distracted. i also started putting the locust on the other end, it climbs on the wood that sticks out of the water then it actually takes it out of the top of the wood, prefers it that way! ate 5 locusts this morning:D hahaha
ally07
lol! Greedy fish, eh? I'm sure that my green can SEE the prawns in the clear plastic container before I drop them in. I usually leave it on top of the tank (but out of sight) for a few minutes to defrost. But once he sees me approaching with the container he hovers around the top and occasionally bumps the glass even though he can't see anything. (psssstttt.. I think they're onto us!)
