Squirt
Hello On thursday I will be shipping 2 Dwarf puffers from Hamilton To Taupo, And then back to kapiti. I will double bag them, Heat pack, Poly Box and some Scrunched up newspaper. Is there a certain water to air ratio? Would adding "pure" oxygen help them so they wouldnt run our of air? So then you could add less air and more water. Any suggestions is welcome. Thanks

Squirt
Yeah Im just going to move them in the car. Its only 1 1/2 hrs to taupo from here. Then 3-4hrs to home. So just 1/3 water 2/3 air? Will go out to the shops today(if the weather fines up) or tomorrow. Will actually pick the fish up from the shop on Thursday once we leave. Zayne
if you have a poly box, just put a bag of warm water in, as you wont really need a heat pad for a 5 hour trip
Squirt
Cheers Havent been able to go out yet. Will see if the place that I buy my fish from have poly boxes. Do people normally scrunch up newspaper? Or what do you do to stop them rolling around? Thanks
redracer77
Yes scrunched up newspaper helps the bag stay in place. I use a heatpak when I bring home fish from CHCH to Nelson, the cost of a heatpak is nothing compared to the price of the fish.
Zayne
if i had known you needed a poly box i could have given you one before you left, if not you could use a insulated bag
