danilada
Hi guys, I have acquired some convicts, originally to put in my community tank (didn't work out)! So, Plan B, put them in with the Yellows, I don't mind a bit of fin nipping OR if the convicts don't last in the tank, BUT I do not want to loose my yellows, they are a good vibrant stock. Currently have the convicts in a fifty litre container until I know if it will be 'safe' enough, for now. Hope to have some replys :nilly:
si_sphinx
How many convicts do you have, What size are they? Do you know the sexes? How many Yellows do you have, What size are they? If there are breeding pairs of convicts and the yellows are too small and too few to handle them then it might not be a very good idea. David R
I'd say you'll be in for trouble in a 200L tank if the cons pair up....
danilada
I have 13 full grown yellows, and I have added a breeding pair of convicts and five youngsters. I added them as I had no choice and to my suprise they are all doing ok! These are temporary measures until I sort out my filtration systems over the weekend. Thanks for the comments 8)
cichlidman2010
I'd be very careful if they are a breeding pair. I've had oscars in the corner scared by convicts -.- but then again, every fish is different in temperament. The typical convict would take at least half of the tank over in most cases though, Good Luck !
