Carlos & Siran
We found ourselves in Auckland a few days ago and popped into Hollywoods for a look see and came home with a peacock eel. He's settled in really nicely and feeding fine on bloodworms, I've read that they're also partial to earth worms, my question is, do you need to dice the worms up first or do you just pop them in and let the eel do his thing? I found a smallish worm and just popped it in, he went beserk and went for it, but it seemed like it was too big for him and after a while he gave up, will they munch away on a large worm or do we need to find wee worms?, they're hard to find atm, as it's quite dry. Fruju
Worms around the size of its mouth/smaller than its head I think it will be fine, obviously dont feed a worm the same size as the eel.
melrick1
you would be so surprized the size they will eat lol, they will make short work of a bi one aswell, but as stated above best to stick with smaller and stay on the safe side
