shelties
Hi, I just wanted to let people know not to bother buying the ph and ammonia discs that they sell at pet shops. They are the ones that you put in the tank and they attach to the glass by a suction cap and you read the inner circle to find out what the levels are. MY ph one was reading 8 when in fact my ph was 7.4 to 7.6 when I had the water tested at the pet shop. The ammonia was reading safe when it was 0.5ppm. Needless to say the pet shop gave me a full refund on these discs as they weren't working properly. I think the brand name is seachange. GZ_Loach
Apparently if theres a change in the ph or ammonia etc the meter will take a while to adjust and show the change, also they wouldn't be as accurate as other testing methods.
