Not good http://www.wanganuichronicle.co.nz/loca ... s/3933045/ The river is very clean, the cleanest I have seen it for a long long time. The lack of rain means there is very little runoff to add silt to the water. Some of the small tributaries have gone dry already. This never normally happens until late summer.
