cliffy
Hi there I going to take my juwel bioflow mini filter out of my juwel tank as it only pumps 280 litres pure hour I am going to put In a fluval plus 2 filter as that puts out 400 litre an hour. So putting the fluval In do I leave the bioflow mini In the tank for 1 month for the fluval to get healthy bacteria thanks.
the-obstacle
Definitely. Run both as long as you can - there's no such thing as overfiltration.
ryanjury
If you don't want to run both long term then I would transfer all the media from the old filter into the new one if possible. If you run both together they will take up a share of the bioload each and then when you remove one the remaining one will have to cycle again to take up the extra load. Sometimes it can be no issue but sometimes it can be depends on how your stocking is and tank size and how you hold your tongue etc.
cliffy
I don't mind running both together for as long as It take cause the juwel is different than fluval. One other thing you guys reckon the fluval is better than the bioflow mini.
