malevolentsparkle
just noticed a juvenile emerald catfish getting air at the surface of my tank! it was probably 1cm long so hopefully big enough to not get eaten. I have made no attempt to breed them and they are just in my community tank, luckily, due to a lack of funds, theres not a whole lot of predators in there and lots and lots of plants. it must of been eating leftovers as i have quite a strong current and food tends to go everywhere (thats why i have the little guys!). any tips for my if there is any more in there to boost survival rate? malevolentsparkle
haven't seen it since i took the vid, hope its still ok. anyone know when it will start schooling with the adults?
malevolentsparkle
ok an update: I now have 2 decent sized juveniles that come out of the plants every now and then. They are eating the same food as the adults with no problems. I see no reason why I shouldn't have 2 extra adults before long. oh yeah! FuglyDragon
Cool the way they have the weird large red dorsal fin when small that slowly reverts to the same as the adults as they grow, definately coolest looking of all the cats i have raised.
