Dawn
Cor if you're waiting on NZ Post they'll be dead before then! My baby guppies did very well on the very fine flakes, if you don't have any grind some up in a mortar & pestle or something similar. My platy fry don't get any specific feed at all, they survive on whatever they can find - that is until the Gouramies eat them for dinner! livebearer_breeder
GUYS! DO NOT USE ANY LIQUID FORM OF FOOD! that liquifry stuff is useless, for the amount of energy spent to get what little of the food that all floats down into the gravel, plus most of the food in those is too small for livebearer fry, it is not worth it, When i first have fry, I start them off on some crushed up flake food, then about a week later i move them on to small daphnia, then i chop up some white worms, and then they get frozen mossy larvae. But if you dont have access to that, just feed flake, they dont have to chase it to the bottom, they can eat it at lessure and they dont lose more energy than gained trying to eat it. Oh and i forgot to mention the liquid stuff polutes ur tank very fast. Shae
livebearer_breeder
There growth is going to be immensly stunted if you keep the in there, at that size they should be moved to there own tank, but other than that they look really healthy. Caryl
Not a "bad" at all Shae. You did not know that was a temporary home and it would have been excellent advice if mystic had not known it already and had plans to move them. Others reading this thread may not know you can't keep fry in a breeding trap for too long so will have learned something.
