I've heard Mollys will hybridise with Guppies and apparently most of the swordtail and platies we see are hybrids between those three species but I've never heard of a viable hybrid between Poecilia and Xiphophorus. I took it up with an experienced at my LFS, and he told me that while not not impossible, it is very improbable. Sorry if I offend anyone with what I am about to say but he said something along the lines of a jigsaw puzzle, while the pieces look similar, they don't quite fit correctly.
