redracer77
I need to replace my 39W 34" T5HO tube for my 4ft planted tank. Has aqua one tubes in now, 1 has just died. I am looking at the GLO tubes 1 life glo and 1 power glo or should I get 2 life glo? or something different?
phoenix44
The GLO tubes are HO tubes. If your hood is a normal T5 hood, I am unsure if they will work or will be good for either the hood or the tubes. Also the GLO tubes are 36" and 39W each at that size IIRC. phoenix44
So you have a HO hood? If so, I personally love the powerglos! I think they are brilliant for both fish colour and plant growth. Its amazing.
redracer77
Yes HO fittings, So 2x power glo or 1x power glo and 1x lifeglo? I figure replace both at once.

redracer77
what plants you got? Similar to you, lots of swords, tiger lotus, a few crypts and a few stem
suphew
If it was me I'd go for one of each, the lifeglo's look brighter to the eye and are a lot cheaper, the powerglo's give the fish great colour but when you have tanks with the different bulbs in side by side the powerglo's ones look duller over all. phoenix44
I've got every possible spectrum of HO lights and the powerglos are the brightest....
