Sweetysmum
Hi there, can Axolotls eat meal worms at all? And if so, is it best to give them ones that have just shed or would it not matter? Thanks.
Insect Direct
Afternoon Yep, same as frogs. Best as a treat imo. They will take crickets, locusts and worms and so on.. Wouldnt worry about the "just after they shed" thing. More important is having hydrated worms prior to feeding out I think. Feed carrot for atleast 6hours prior. That way the mealworms arnt so hungus. Just a random theory of mine
DennisP
Axolotls have big mouths... Mine were about 15cm and they ate those bloodworm cubes whole.
