nativelover
how bigger tank do you need for dwarf or red eye puffers? thanks
phoenix44
For female red eye puffers - you can have 4 -5 max in a 70L tank or so. But with males, one is all that you can have. The males are terribly agro. you need to have a totally sealed tank with no chance of them jumping out if you have more than one male in the tank. In 68L tank with about 4f and 1m - I lost them all but the male who systematically harassed and thew the females out the tank that had standard glass lids. Females are great to set up a species tank for; males not so much.

FishBen
For dwarves you need 5 gal/puffer if alone, or 3 gal/puffer if more than one.. If you have more than one then try and keep more females than males, and keep them in a species only tank or else they'll shred the fins of their tank mates (don't try keeping them with other fish and wait to see if it happens, I tried that and now I have gourami with fin rot, fml) even if they are much, much larger than the dwarves.
